It took me 4 days to get a 'still' picture of this little imp!! I had to take Mon Cheri' and her dam, Amour, out to a different area. She finally slowed down long enough to smell the dandylions!! I purchased a very pregnant Amour at the Ohio Sale on Aug 1, 2009. Two weeks later we drove to Red Bluff, CA to pick her up, praying all the way that we would get her home and into a nice comfy stall before she foaled. Amour was a real trooper. There are a lot of very nice people to thank for her safe arrival......Jane DuPlessis for all the help with the arrangements to get Amour back to Oregon safely, Martha Howard, for taking care of her after I had to leave Ohio. Cox Equine Transport, for picking her up at Martha's and bringing her to TX, to their own little mini-haven for 2 days, and then onto Red Bluff.....and a special thanx to my dear sweet husband, who drove me and the trailer from our house all the way to Red Bluff, CA and back home again (900 miles) all in ONE day!! We were all very tired..... Amour waited 4 weeks before she decided to drop this little bundle of joy!! Mon Cheri' is very small and compact....beautiful small head and nice straight legs. She has a cute little round butt and stands just 20.5'' at birth. Mon Cheri' carries the *masked spotting factor which means she can produce spots, maybe even the illusive 'red spot', with all the red in her pedigree!! We are offering Mon Cheri' for sale.

It's hard to describe this little girl. She walks around the pasture like she's the ''star'' of the Show, and she's only a week old....she really takes my breath away!! I would love to see her go to a family that wants to take her into that Show Ring.....she would win the ribbons, hands down, she has that presence about her!!

Update.....Red Taffeta landed in BC, Canada on Thursday and by the following Friday she was winning "First Place" in her class at the Miniature Donkey Extravaganza Show in Alberta, Canada!! Way to go Taffeta!!

Night Sky is my 'type' of jennet!! I fell in love with her when Cindy B brought her to a 'clinic' back in 2005. Cindy had just returned from a Nissen Sale in Iowa and told me she wanted Sky so bad that she was bidding against herself, she was so excited!!! Skybird has been shown at the Pacific Crest Nationals in Oregon and CA and placed very well. So when I had the chance to purchase her, I took it, and I am very happy. She is truly a sweet girl and I look forward to some cute, small foals from her.

So yesterday morning I'm out feeding the donkeys, talking to them, giving scratches and just checking things out, ya know?? Well, little Miss Sky gives my hand a nudge away with her hip and walks away from me when I try to scratch her flank. Well, I did just give her a 4th dose of a 5 day worming regiment. I almost let her go but then decided 'no, she needs to stand still when I rub on her'....so I follow her and put my left hand on her rump, give her backside a scratch with my other hand, kinda rubbing along and slip down her back legs and I let out a screech....I know they heard me miles away!!!! Jesus, Mother of God.....she has a full hard bag & teats!!!!! NO WAY.....!! I had checked her bag a month ago and it was flat as a pancake....NOTHING-NADA!!!!! I even looked at the calendar and the only time I put her in with Pennington was one day, May 25th 2012 the end of her cycle....so by mid-April, I figured she should have a little bag, at least. She didn't even look pregnant.....ya know they have that 'look' & 'walk'?? It has only been this past week that I caught myself looking at her.... she'd changed but I still wasn't thinking 'pregnant.' It's early Spring and everyone still has their winter 'jammies' on. I thought maybe she needed wormed. So I decided to give her and 'E a 5 day panacur regiment... today was day 4. I was just mortified when I found that full bag. So Miss Sky got trundled into her own stall, she got a pneumabort shot, she got brushed on, loved on & told how sorry I was, but really it was her own fault for not 'showing' at all!! I closed her up in her stall last night about 11pm before I went to bed.... it's been a little nasty & rainey here & I didn't want to take any chances. This morning I walk in about 7am and there's a gorgeous little foal looking up at me out of the loveliest eyerings I have ever seen!!!!! SHE was soooo pretty!!!! MY FAVORITE COLOR!! Almost 20.5", I'm going to put her birthdate at May 18....the day Mt St. Helen's exploded. By the time I found her she was already dry and eating and laying down for a nap. She is totally her mother's daughter!! I'm calling her Gracie..... bcause it's totally by the 'Grace of God' that she is here safe & sound!!

We purchased this pretty little girl from Jackie Galleano in Kansas. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase....she is gorgeous!! Those black points look like she has spent the day in front of a mirror putting on her make-up!! Bella is bred to J.R.P.'s Sir Winston Churchill, a 30 1/2" dark brown jack, for June 2009.

Bella foaled a lovely blu-gray tiny jennet we named Eola Hills Tessa. She is stunning and resides in Washington State. We bred Bella to our own herdsire, DuPlessis Farm's Pennington, in the Fall of 2009. In September of 2010 she foaled a beautiful 20" silver gray jack we named Eola Hills Grayson ( He is also on our for sale page).

At this time I am putting Bella on my for sale page. I am putting her in to be bred to Pennington next month, May 2013. Look Bella's pedigree over carefully....she is tiny and her pedigree is tiny. If you are looking to breed for 'micro-mini's, then Bella is a good candidate for your program. She is the daughter of Dream Catcher's Picabo Street, 29¾" and grandaughter of the famous GP Oscar, 26½", who are both deceased. Bella has small all the way back into her great-great's pedigree. She is registered at 30¾" but stands on cement at a little over 30". Bella has 2 sister's already in France.

Every once in awhile you'll get something really special from a breeding....that's this little girl. She was the tiniest little thing & kinda weak in the knees when she first came out. Suzie was very patient and gentle with her, but Bobbi just couldn't stand up quite as fast as the usual foal does. So while Suzie stood very still I held Bobbi up to a nipple....she did some root'n around but finally latched on. I don't know who was more relieved, me or Suzie!! So for the first couple of hours that was our routine, until she got enough colostrum and energy to stand on her own. Suzie was a doll through it all. Chuck walked in a while later and was looking her over and then asked me "Where's her tail?" Well shoot, Bobbi only had half of her little tail. So this precious little thing will be sold as a pet, not to be bred. Bobbi greets me every morning at the gate and follows me around while I feed & muck their stall....Suzie just lets her roam with me. I don't know.....this one might have to stay here unless I find a really, really loving family that will love on her daily.

Bentley really catches your eye when he is out there running in the pasture....usually after the little girls!! I love to watch them. Bently carries some great bloodlines in his pedigree with lots of color, including Spots. He would make a super nice jack if you are in the market for one.....I have a pkg price on Bentley with his Dam. But if you decide you need a stunning gelding then Bentley is your boy!!

This is just the beginning of something wonderful!

Tiny Grayson was born on a beautiful sunny Fall day....all 20" of him!! Such a sweet little ball of silver/gray fur has never touched this ground before. I fell hard for this little man!! After enjoying him for almost a year I decided to keep him as a gelding, even though he was definitely herdsire material. Now he's just a joy to have around!! Grayson will be a great cart/pack donkey for you and just an all-around sweet pet to have on your farm!!

Jolie' has only gotten better with age. Her spotting pattern is darker & bolder and she is quite stunning. I was a little surprised when she shed out of her winter jammies into such a dark color. She has a nice firm butt, straight legs and even teeth. Jolie' would be a perfect fit for a dark spotted breeding program.

Talk about a beauty.....this little girl has it all!! This is Pennington's second foal & I could not have asked for a more perfect baby. Ava-Luna's Dam, Lilah, is one of my most favorite donkeys and she has never given me anything but perfection!! She puts a special stamp on her foals that is very noticeable and Ava is no exception. This little girl is the spitting image of Lilah, right down to her beautiful triangular face, straight legs, round butt, gorgeous blk/brn color and that ''Look At Me, I am Special,'' attitude!! It's reeeeally hard to put Ava on the sale page....she's a keeper for sure, but I can't keep them all. Before she goes, though, we are going to enjoy the heck out of her!! Trenton just keeps getting better with age. He is filling out and would make a great little cart donkey one day or a special companion for that other equine. He's very friendly and layed back, loves to be scratched & loved on and is ''kid-friendly.'' His all time favorite time is 'carrot time'!! He is such a good boy and waits nicely for his carrot. Trenton is up to date on his shots, farrier work and worm paste. If Trenton is purchased with one other donkey I will reduce his price.

We knew under all that baby hair there was an exceptional little girl!! Mazie is another Rocky daughter that will be added to our Brood Jennets in 2010.

This little black beauty has some famous grandsires: Desperado of Circle C, a small 28 7/8'' gray jack on her paternal side and MGF Future Link, a black 32'' jack on her maternal side. Fantasia has Desperado's pretty small head with big expressive eyes and Future Links gorgeous black color!! She has some spots & red in her pedigree also. On top of all this she has a nice straight topline, round rearend and she's a spit-fire. This little girl is pushy and demands her scratches and hugs, but she will do anything you ask of her in trail!! Fantasia is our grandaughter's favorite donkey to Show. Everybody who visits our Farm falls in love with Fantasia.....she is such a people donkey. She will come up behind you and run her head under your hand to be scratched and will follow you all over the pasture!! If you want an in-your-face donkey, then Fantasia is the one for you......

At 8yrs old and 32 1/2'' tall Mariah is a sweet jennet. She has a nice pedigree of spots and Blue-eyed-White donkeys. Mariah herself has unusual spotting.....some very dark, almost black tyger spots along her sides. She stands straight with a nice hip & round butt and is 'open' and ready to breed to your jack. Contessa is such a sweet little thing......you just want to squeeze her so tight!! She is always right under foot and ready for those soft nose kisses!! What a doll!! Tessa is very square....perfect conformation and tiny. Her sire & dam are both 30 1/2".....she has a pedigree of little donkeys with red, blk, brown & gray colors in there. This one is a hard one to let go.....but I promised!!!!!

Wow.....this is our Pennington's first foal!! What a beauty Porter is, we could not be happier!! This little guy was born on a beautiful sunny Spring day!! I didn't even have the covering off Porter's nose before he was making little noices and wanted up!! I think Mariah would have been much happier to lie there for awhile longer, but she got up and started drying him off. I was excited to check Porter out......make sure everything was in order. It was, so I could stop worrying. Porter went out to play in the sunshine this morning.....don't you just love watching those baby donkeys explore their World for the first time?? Porter is such a pretty little boy, with straight legs and a short compact body. He has a nice pedigree & will make a nice herdsire or gelding.

When I went to check on Slippers around 11:15pm Wed. night the 29th, I could tell that she was in labor. I checked my watch again and thought, wow, maybe she will wait until after midnight for our daughter's birthday!! Tami's 'birthday fairy' had to have been listening because little Choco waited until 12:10AM to be born. I'm sure Slippers was just happy he was out & healthy!! I have to tell you, we were a little surprised to see this darling little brown boy with a bright headlite pop out. We thought for sure he would have more spots, since his sire & dam are both spotted.....but he fooled us. Choco decided to take after his maternal & paternal granddams.....both a beautiful dark brown. He's a tiny little guy, just 20 1/2", with a very pretty head and a nice short body. Choco is for sale either as a gelding or a tiny herdsire, with great color potential.

EOLA HILLS DUSTY MAGNUM, 32", is a great little jack that has a super nice compact body, great legs, even bite and a beautiful small head. He is very sweet and will come running from the far ends of the pasture when he sees any one of our 5 children come out to take him for a walk!! Dusty delights us all with his play antics and can amuse himself for long periods of time throwing and fetching his jolly balls or a fallen tree limb. He is very much the gentleman when breeding his girls and can pasture or hand breed. Dusty's pedigree is stellar!!! His Sire: KKR Copycat Sam was known as the most layed back jack in the field......one of those ''pocket-donkeys'' that everyone loves!! Dusty has his Daddy's temperament and also the potential to throw you some beautiful small spotted babies!!! His Dam: Rogers' Twilla, was a Grand Champion show jennet many years in a row!! Eola Hills Dusty Magnum will be a wonderful little herdsire for you with his lineage, conformation and great temperament.

If you are looking for a tiny brood jennet with a great pedigree full of color.....then my little Margie is for you. Margie was only 19½" at birth and in late January 2010 @ 2 1/2 yrs old, she measured 28''. Margie is a well balanced, compact girl for being so tiny. I would suggest not breeding her until she is closer to 4 yrs old and then to a tiny, more refined jack with lots of 'small' in his pedigree. I do not have that 'type' of jack.

Not For Sale!! We knew as soon as this little girl was born we would have to keep her.....just to watch such a little beauty grow!! Suzie really outdid herself this time. We think this cross with Little Magic & Suzie will be repeated.....maybe we can get a little brother for Angel next time!!

After much consideration we have decided to offer Angel for sale. She is a sweet, compact little girl, with a very mellow personality like both her sire & dam. This little 'Angel' will melt your heart in every way. She will be small, maybe 31''.....both her sire & dam are 30.5''. Better grab her quick.......I might change my mind.

This little guy stole our hearts the minute he popped that pretty little head out!! Wow, what a surprise. He is a beauty.....with that cute little floppy ear. We all laughed later, when he came up to us on wobbly legs and that little ear was laying across his face. He was just too precious!! It took a few days, but he's got it standing higher now. We all had quite a time naming this little boy. My son thought we should name him "FlapJack"......because of his cute flappy ear. My gran-girl thought it should be "Oreo" because of his color. 'Besides, 'Oreo' sounds better in the ring than 'FlapJack'....according to my gran-girl. Of course, she won out. So little Oreo it is. He's a nice solid little guy and will make someone a flashy gelding or herdsire. Check out his wide chest and heavy bone! His dam, Lilah, is one of our nicest jennets and my favorite. What can I say about Bells?? She is one of the most "in your face" donkeys we have!! Bells is spoiled rotten......but I love her SO much. She comes up and sticks her nose in your chest and begs to be scratched. I want to thank my good friend, Cindy Benson, for letting me purchase this sweetheart from her last Spring!! Bells has a top-notch pedigree and we are looking forward to some great foals from her & Rocky.

UPDATE: On Aug 20, 2008, three weeks early to the day, of Belles' first breeding with our new herdsire, Little Magic, she presented us with another darling jennet. Eola Hills Lotta Lov'n is the image of her older half-sister, Starla, right down to that star on her forehead!! You would never know these 2 girls have different sires.....they look that much alike!! From the time Lotta was born she was a snuggle-bug!! Everytime I came into the pasture to clean, she was right there wanting me to put down the plastic fork and hold her!! I thought to myself, ''This little girl thinks I have all the time in the world to give her a lotta lov'n''.......hence, the perfect name for her!! Lotta is weaned now and ready to go to a loving family. Her Sire is spotted and she is carrying the red gene on her dam's side. If you are looking for sweet & cuddly, with a whole lot of color potential, Lotta is the perfect brood jenny for your breeding program.

This little girl has more than met our expectations!! We had every intention of keeping Starla in our future brood jennet pasture and breeding her to our man Pennington in 2010. But as everyone knows, intentions can change pretty quickly. We are now offering her For Sale. Starla is a well balanced little jennet, with a nice round butt and a gorgeous set of legs!! She is almost 2 yrs old now and measured a mere 30 1/2" @ 20 mos of age. Starla's sire won 'Get-of-Sire' at the 2007 NMDA Nationals in Oregon. Her dam is one of my top producing jennets. Both parents have outstanding pedigree's, which makes Starla's great!! You won't go wrong adding this lovely jennet to your brood jennet pasture in 2010.

Red is one of the most gorgeous donkeys I have ever seen!! He takes your breath away just standing out in the pasture. He has a magnificent wide chest, the nicest round butt and stocky straight legs!! And he is 'Mr Personality-Plus'.....such a sweet guy!! His color is undescribable ... deep dark red with lots of black hair running throughout his body. Beautiful!! Lil Red was sold as a foal for $5000, and worth every penny. He has gone on to produce some outstanding progeny. Two of his beautiful red daughters are, DuPlessis Farm Amber Glo and DuPlessis Farm Persimmon Puddin'. Lil Red's progeny photos are compliments of Jane, who has retained these pretty girls in her breeding program. Also, Dennis Robertson of Cottonwood, CA has retained one of his son's, Rancho Rhea Fireworks, as his #1 herdsire. Both of these breeders have nothing but good things to say about Lil Red. Jane says she can not find one fault with Lil Red (and if you know Jane, you know that is saying something!!). This beautiful donkey has produced red, black and even frosted spotted white.
